Money bags: Nakku sells NRM Youth Delegates to Diana Kampe at Ugx1.2 billion

The money is crossing hands. Voters are increasingly becoming goods. The candidates are in business. Elections are becoming transactional.

The wonder world with a Wendy show is on as a gullible youth electorate is being bought at a paltry Ugx 1.2 billion allegedly by Diana Kampe Ampaire.

The electorate has been sold, allegedly by Ms Fiona Nakku, who was taken out of the race for being over and above the required age for being a youth MP.

Last week, the National Identification and Registration Authority – NIRA guided the NRM Electoral Commission Chairperson Tanga Odoi that Ms. Fiona Nakku be de-registered from those contesting since she is over and above the required age bracket.

However, Nakku, in a bid to offer a legitimate bargain for the cause, “chose to character assassinate the Chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission on grounds that there was foul play, which has never been,” one of the voters said.

Last evening, on the periphery Kololo suburb, a deal was allegedly completed by Nakku, selling off all the people who supported her to Ugx 1.2 billion to Ms. Diana Kampe Ampaire.

The pedagogy of the deal was to label Mercy Kanyesigye, a leading candidate in the race a state candidate, throwing her away from the local voters.

“We all saw her do the same and also character assasinated Tanga. But, we all know it was not Dr. Tanga who took Nakku from the race. Nakku was just old and can get another constituency away from the young people,” said Richard Luswaata, one of the voters.

Upon getting such information, Ms. Kanyesigye’s camp is now making strides to demystify the information, a reason why both Nakku and Kampe are resorting to blackmailing the Chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission.
