The Woman Member of Parliament for Mpigi Teddy Nambooze has initiated a new project, delivering coffee seedlings to the female leaders in Mawokota County.
The initiative that will see all female leaders at the County and Gombolola level plant coffee is part of the Mwaanyi Terimba initiative by the Kingdom.
“My goal is to see that all our leaders in the county be examples of success in all Kingdom projects,” Nambooze says.
The Kingdom of Buganda, 10 years ago, launched the Mwaanyi Terimba project that saw a number of people in the kingdom engage in the growing of coffee for export.
It is upon such background that Hon Teddy Nambooze chose to offer free coffee seedlings to the leaders at the Gombolola and County (Saza) level as part of her interventions to uplift communities in Mpigi District.
