Come for your children i had adopted: NUP Councilor, who was denied party ticket in Busega, tells Kyagulanyi, Foot Soldiers

Busega Councilor Kyambadde Fred Salongo has asked NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi and all foot soldiers who had children at his St Mary’s infant School – Busega to take them away since he was also denied the party ticket despite all the work he had done in supporting children of all foot soldiers.

Kyambadde made the remarks on Saturday morning after realizing that he had been denied a party ticket by the party leadership.

On Friday evening, NUP released a list of Councilors and local government awarded party tickets across the country.

However, Kyambadde, who clearly thought, teaching children children of foot soldiers freely was left distraught with excessive anger as he was denied a ticket to represent the people of Busega as a councilor.

Kyambadde turned the rhythm upside down on Saturday, halting praises for Kyagulanyi and instead attacking him for being ungrateful for the tireless work he has done in educating children of the foot soldiers.

“Kyagulanyi, you foot soldiers, come for your children. Bobi Wine is a very ungrateful and bad man. Everything is about him and his family and not us. I surrender and withdraw all my support,” Kyambadde said.

Entebbe Post has learned that it is not Kyambadde alone. In Wakiso, Kyagulanyi and his Election Management Committee denied NUP stalwart Sempala Kigozi Ssajjalwabeene even after giving Ugx 65 million to win the NUP ticket for Wakiso District Chairperson.

Kigozi had also given in more than Ugx 50 million for the Makindye Ssabagabo in 2021.

Also, several of Kyagulanyi’s posters have been burnt in Makindye Ssabagabo for denying several of the NUP diehards tickets for the local government seats.

Party leadership at NUP has remained tight-lipped even with the increasing backlash with the deliberations of the already awarded tickets.

In 2023, Bobi Wine’s wife, Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi visited Kyambadde’s school and praised the councilor for supporting the children of foot soldiers.
