The home of former DP President and late Presidential hopeful Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere has caught fire, Entebbe post has learnt.
The house situated in Rubaga, a division in Kampala was set a blaze on Friday.
It has been established that Late Hon. Kawanga Ssemogerere’s wife Jemina Ssemogerere was in the house and was helped by young people Mzee Ssemogerere mentored to leave the house.
Mzee Ssemogerere’s wife is being taken care of by the Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere who happens to be Mzee Kawanga Ssemogerere’s son.
The cause of the fire is not yet established. However, several properties including a Liberia have been set a blaze by the fire.
Mzee Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere was the leader of the Democratic Party for long a time. He met his demise in 2023.
