“They even called him last week and was asked to deliver another one million for the foot soldiers which he deliberated immediately,” the source told this website.

The said contestant is said to have missed the party ticket even in 2021 and this time, was invited by a number of senior leaders within the party with a promise that he will be awarded the ticket this time round.

Several other leaders, especially those from Makerere University were denied the ticket save for Allan Saava Nyende, Shamim Nambassa and Abasi Kizito.

In Kalangala, Ronald Lwanga, the party’s Registrar and Richard Katumba the District speaker were also denied tickets.

Several other candidates are said to have deliberated collosal sums of money to get tickets. However, the party denied them the opportunity.
