Mawogola North Constituency choice of Sodo Aine Kaguta is a People centered decision

In the heart of Sembabule, where the dust of politics never settles, one name continues to echo with love, trust, and admiration—Aine Kaguta Sodo. He is a man of action, not empty promises; a leader whose footprints can be traced in the lives he has touched and the communities he has built.Unlike those who appear only when election drums begin to beat, Sodo has always been part of the people—walking with them, working with them, and winning their hearts through deeds, not words. As the saying goes, “A good tree is known by its fruits.” The fruits of Sodo’s leadership are visible: from the mosques he has built to the youth and women’s projects he has supported across Mawogola North.

Lately, Counsel Jet Mwebaze has made it his pastime to cry foul about Sodo’s academic documents—a tired, recycled tune meant to distract from the real question: What has Jet done for the people of Sembabule? For years, Jet’s voice has been louder in the media than in the villages. Yet in his own backyard, people still search for evidence of his service. How many pro bono cases has he handled for his community? How many boreholes, schools, or youth initiatives bear his name?

As the elders say, “You cannot hide smoke in a basket.” The truth is clear: Jet’s record is a blank page in the book of community service. We must not forget that in 2021, Sodo showed true statesmanship. He stepped down for Shatse Kuteesa, putting the unity of the NRM above personal ambition. That single act of humility spoke volumes, earning him respect across the political divide. When the time came in 2025, the people called him back—unopposed—a clear testimony of love, loyalty, and trust.

If Jet truly believed in the NRM, why did he avoid the party primaries? Why run as an independent to challenge the very cohesion he claims to support? As the proverb reminds us, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Mawogola North will not be distracted by political opportunists who appear only when the harvest is ripe. The real voters of Mawogola North are watching closely. They know who has stood with them in times of need and who appears only when the cameras are rolling. “Actions speak louder than words,” and Sodo’s actions tell a story of compassion, service, and leadership.

While Sodo unites and uplifts, Jet divides and complains. Leadership is not about guarding oneself from the people; it is about being among them, listening, and serving. That is where Sodo’s strength lies—in the open arms of his community. When the day of reckoning comes, the people’s verdict will be unmistakable. “The one who digs a pit for others often falls into it.”Sodo is not just a candidate; he is a movement—a symbol of unity, humility, and hard work. His return in 2025 is not by luck but by the will of a grateful people who know their true son.In Mawogola North, the choice is clear: Sodo stands for service, while Jet stands for self.
The people have spoken: “The sun cannot be hidden by the hand.”
