The National Resistance Movement is anchored on four major principles, which include patriotism, Pan-Africanism, socioeconomic transformation, and Democracy.
These pillars culminate from a larger scope that moots for the willingness of the people to elect their leaders. In whom the leaders represent the needs of society, and how they wish to transform.
Over the years, numerous individuals have been fighting tirelessly to bring about meaningful change in the societies they live in. Many of whom have aspired to keep a burning candle up and bright, even without taking on the mantle.
From Kabale, through Mbarara and to the wider parts of Kiruhura, Nowomugisha Sadrack Nzaire has, over the years, been working on a carefully calibrated move to maintain the National Resistance Movement lead in the Western region, delivering several districts for the party, with leaders that make meaningful the quest for further development of the people in the area.
In Kiruhura alone, Nzaire has always been delivering a whopping 99.9% of the NRM vote, grooming leaders who make the area better with development.
He has also been the NRM district Chairperson for Kiruhura for the last 15 years. However, upon grooming more people, he has now left the seat for Moses Kamisi and chose to move a step higher, striving to take the NRM Vice Chairperson position for western Uganda.
It is from such a background that the party patriarch is mooting to take on the mantle as the next Vice Chairperson – NRM for the Western region.
A fully grounded leader who has amassed support from across the country, Nzaire wants to further forge unity within the party while engaging in the quest to fight impunity against the erratic Ugandans, making the country difficult for the local people to live in.
Given his proximity to power, Nzaire is desirous of lobbying income, generating assortments for the people he intends to lead.
“We have seen how powerful his negotiations have been. He engages until a positive outcome is attained. We have seen him make strides towards supporting a team of people he always moves and works with, and that’s how he wants people to be. Successful and happy,” says one of the supporters of Sedrack Nzaire.
His patriotism is manifested in how much he strives to fight graft, make sure all government services reach the final beneficiary through constant oversight and engagement.
“If he has been doing some of this work without an office. Imagine if he gets one. I believe he is much more resourceful and the desired candidate to take on the position as Vice Chairperson – Western region,” says Hellen Flavia Nagawa, one of the people who have worked closely with Mr. Nzaire.
For a man who passionately fights corruption, makes a case for development while networking for investment, can be the best support system for the leadership of a party set to take on the country for the next five years.
