Uganda’s Ambassador to Algeria and the Maghreb region H.E Amb. Alintuma Nsambu has procured 100 kits for the Kabaka Birthday Run slated for Sunday April 6th, 2025 to support the King’s call towards ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
While handing over the Kits to Ambassador Nsambu at Buddukiro House, Buddu county chief Pookino Jude Muleke called upon the King’s subjects to participate in the run as part of the pre-events to celebrate the 70th birthday of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
Ambassador Nsambu, upon receiving the kits said, he is always previlledged to support the Kingdom activities.
“We call upon Kabaka’s subjects to participate in this Royal activity dedicated towards ensuring that we end AIDS. We are always humbled to rally behind our King whenever we are called upon and we shall always support our Kingdom activities.” Ambassador Nsambu said.
The run, expected to be flagged off by the Kabaka will be held under the theme; “Men for good health to save the girl child” and it’s the 12th edition of the Kabaka’s birthday Run.
Ambassador Alintuma Nsambu also joined the Pookino Jude Muleke to launch the newly appointed 32 member committee that will manage Buddu FC as it participates in the 2025 Masaza Cup tournament.
The Ambassador, John Chrysostom Alintuma Nsambu kicked off Buddu FC Masaza Cup Journey with a boost of 10million shillings, 20 balls and pledged to procure footware for the team as he returns back Algeria.
He said, while on foreign mission, he has always missed opportunity to support his county team but the golden opportunity availed to him to attend the launch of the team managerial committee was enough for his him to provide what he had from his docket.
“I call upon our team managers to ensure that we defend our 2024 Masaza Cup championship. We shall ensure that we continue supporting our team up to the last day of the game,” Ambassador Nsambu added.
Pookino Jude Muleke also implored the newly launched committee to exercise maximum discipline and leadership skills throughout the tournament.
Mr. Lutaaya Joseph retained his position as the team chairperson, Mr. Zziwa Steven was reappointed as the team manager, Bishop Severus Jjumba as the chief fans mobilizer, Bro. Mugabo Augustine, Prince Nakibinge Edward and Emeritus Mukwenda Mbalire Godfrey as the team advisers, Mr. Ssegawa Sotius Sebastian as the treasurer, Hon. Minister Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo as the Patron, among others.
