Kalangala District Woman MP Helen Nakimuli has been told to stop telling lies and act like an established leader.
The MP on Tuesday morning said on her X handle that the government had suspended ferry operations just because NUP candidate for the Presidency Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu is visiting the Ssese Islands.
Kyagulanyi will campaign in the Ssese Islands on Wednesday December 24th, 2025. He is expected to be at Kaala play ground.
However, Nakimuli’s lies were met by a declaration by officials from the Office of the President in Kalangala, led by Henry Lubulwa who dismissed Nakimuli’s lies saying, the MP is now a champion of Malice, aforethought.
“Nakimuli should stop rumor mongering and start acting like a leader. Kalangala is a hub for tourism and we can’t just cut off ferry services only because one unserious person is coming. The MP should learn to communicate effectively with the right information instead of excitement. If she wants to be a fake blogger, she still has room after campaigns to learn,” Lubulwa said.
Kalangala has for long been a hub for tourism and Agribusiness. More than 3000 people enter the district every day.
“We cannot just cut off transport just because of excitement,” Lubulwa added.
Meanwhile, ferry operators, Kalangala Infrastructure Services Ltd said, a ferry program for the festive season has been pronounced with more ferry crossings to enable Ugandans and business operators work effectively.
