Kalangala MPs, Birungi Carolyn Nanyondo (Kyamuswa County) and Lugoloobi Willy Bageyente have pledged selfless service to promotion of Island dignity.
Ms. Nanyondo was sworn in on Wednesday while Hon. Lugoloobi has been sworn in on thursday afternoon.
The third MP, Ms. Helen Nakimuli met her demise on April 19th prior to swearing in.
Both Carol Nanyondo and Willy Lugoloobi pledged to restore island dignity by respecting and supporting the integrity of Lake Victoria by ensuring fish stocks increase with good fishing practices.
The team also promised to support the Palm Oil sector by improving adminstration and fruit prices of Palm Oil. Hon Nanyondo who haild from Kyamuswa also promised to immediately expedite the growth of Palm Oil in Kyamuswa to subsequently improve household incomes.
“Kyamuswa is our pride. We want the islands to shine, have better services, improved fish stocks and transformational agriculture,” Nanyondo said.
Nanyondo replaces Moses Wagaba Kabuusu as Kyamuswa County MP while Willy Lugoloobi is replacing Julius Mukasa Opondo as Bujumba County MP.
The Woman MP for the District will be elected on June 25th, this year.
