Archbishop Paul Ssemwogerere, other Mpigi leaders led by the Mpigi District Woman MP Teddy Nambooze have completed a three day pastoral visit to Konge Parish.
The pastoral work which included visits to schools, Hospitals, familes, sub parishes and the confirmation of a number of children reborn in faith drew a number of congregants ready to recieve the abundant blessings of the almighty.
Konge, being the parish that initiated Hon Nambooze into faith from childhood, the area MP supported His Grace the Archbishop as he engaged in pastoral cordination within the area.
“Being part of Caritas, it is my obidience that His Grace recieves reports and an understanding of Konge, a parish home to many of the residents within the area,” Hon Nambooze says.
Speaking before the Archbishop, Hon Nambooze reported that many of the parishioners within the area are slowly becoming lazy and asked for the intevention of the Archbishop.
“Our children previously, would be cared for by the whole community and the parents with food, shelter, education, skills development and basic care for them to become to become right citizens. These days, many of the children have been abandoned by the parents which has promoted lazyness amongst the communities,” she said.
She asked the congregants to pray for the country to ensure social justice and better electoral practices are adopted to have a better country.
Hon Teddy Nambooze also asked the parishioners to pray for political prisoners especially Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, the former Butambala MP who was recently granted bail and rearrested so as for them to get justice.
“… we need a country that respects human rights!” Nambooze said.
Hon Nambooze also asked for the residents to pray for the Kabaka as he celebrates 33 years after coronation to continue leading Buganda well.
